FALLING RED join American counterparts BULLETS & OCTANE on UK tour

Southern Californian Hard Rock/Punk act Bullets & Octane released their debut album ‘In The Mouth Of The Youth’ through Sony Records in 2006 and quickly became one of the most talked about Rock N Roll bands out of the US since Guns n Roses. Tours with Stone Sour, Avenged Sevenfold, Social Distortion and Eagles Of Death Metal have cemented their reputation as a top live band.

Falling Red are delighted to be joining one the very bands that have influenced them over the years on the UK leg of the tour. Carving out their own niche with a Punk fuelled Sleaze Rock sound and arena sized stage antics, Falling Red are a band that deliver everytime time they step on a stage so make sure you catch them at one (or more!) of the following gigs. ALBUM REVIEW: Inferno – Welcome to the Lion’s Den

- By Phil Allely

Artist: Inferno
Title: Welcome To The Lion’s Den
Genre: Alternative Rock

One thing I enjoy about freelance reviewing is that I can not only pick and choose who or what I review, but I can also make a trip to a gig and pick up a cd that this fine website (TBFM) will allow myself to review. This is a great way for not only me and potentially our DJs, but you the loyal listener/reader to get to know about the existence of band outside of our usual realms of interest, geographical area or preferred genre.

This past October (whilst hooking up with the TBFM crew) at the Highway to Hell competition I was able to catch my first live set from young welsh rockers Inferno and I was suitably impressed.  On this occasion the trio were on fine form and their performance on the night netted them a spot at the 2012 Hammerfest festival.

During the making of ‘The Serpent’s Curse’ we encountered the highs and lows of human experience. From the darkness of death to the wonder of birth as a band we faced these colossal events united. This album sprung from our endeavors to understand the circle of life, the mighty force of nature and our fight for survival.

JUDAS PRIEST ‘Epitaph’ World Tour – Only UK Date Of 2012 Announced

Judas Priest, one of the most influential heavy metal bands of all time, have today announced that they will be performing one very special London show in 2012, as part of their ‘Epitaph’ World Tour. The Metal Gods will perform a very special one-off show at HMV Hammersmith Apollo on 26th May 2012, heavy metal at it’s best, complete with lasers, lights, bikes and hellfire.

There are few heavy metal bands that have managed to scale the heights that Judas Priest have during their nearly 40 year career. With popularity at an all time high (as evidenced by the group’s 2010 Grammy Award win for ‘Best Metal Performance’, their last studio album being the highest-charting of their career and recently being a VH1 Rock Honours Recipient), the mighty Priest will be rocking the planet on their Epitaph World Tour, playing the songs that helped make the name Judas Priest synonymous with heavy metal.

Having started the tour in the summer 2011, the band will be hitting all major cities throughout the world. The show will include songs from throughout Priest’s career plus songs they have never before performed on stage and of course all the old favourites.

New Music Awards 2011: Special Award for Outstanding Contribution to Music – Mad Hatter 2.0

Another special award we decided to give out was to Devon band Mad Hatter 2.0 for their outstanding contribution to music.

This award was to show recognition to all the hard work that Marc and the lads have given throughout their music career. The band, who travel all over the UK to play alongside bands small and large do so for something that is very unique “the love of the music!”.

Mad Hatter 2.0 were one of the first unsigned bands to ever be featured on Total Biker FM and they set the benchmark for all bands from that day forward. We have seen them go from strength to strength over the past 1 1/2 years during the time we have been playing their music.

From the early days of the haunting sounds of Spellbound, to the new and energetic songs such as E.M.T and Save Me the band have shown that their talent has no boundaries and for that, we salute them. Read more…
