“Ryans Ryde” is a charity bike ride supporting Teenagers with Cancer by raising money for The Paul Ackrill Fund (registered Charity 1090118) which gives a donation of £500 to teenagers and young people suffering from terminal cancer. The organisers of RyansRyde became aware of the fund when their grandson, Ryan, received £500 quite unexpectedly. Sadly Ryan died in March 2006, aged just 19, and as Ryan loved his bikes, they thought it only fitting to raise some money and awareness of the disease by hosting an event like this, all of the proceeds of which will go into the fund and hopefully this will help more people like Ryan and Paul as every £500 raised will go towards helping to make there lives more enjoyable.

Thanks to the incredible support from everyone involved last year theye were able to raise over £5,400 for the Paul Ackrill Fund

This years charity bike ride will take place on Sunday 5th September, starting from Hopwood services at Junction 2 of the M42.  If you are in the area and would like to help to raise money for this wonderful charity, see their website for more information: www.ryansryde.com
