Ooh scary, first post on your nice clean forum. Lucky me.

Got three in our stable at the mo, with the chance of a new addition very soon.

Starting with the smallest, is Henry the Honda CG125 BrJ. He is a banger and a smoker, but he has charm and if I drop him, he is easy to pick up.

Next is Sylvie the Suzuki SV650S and the first of the Pointies. She is a beautiful machine and even for a mid range bike is pretty well put together. I have a few mods already and a few more to finish, but she is awesome, when I can keep the wife off of her.

Finally we have Rosie, the Wife's Kawasaki GTR1000. This is a big monster of a bike and is currently being renovated, most likely as a streetfighter style, but we have only just started and can't decide what to do with her yet. However, there is a chance of a Z750 low rider chop project on the cheap, which would be a much nicer project to work on and with out the difficulties of converting from shaft to chain drive.

So there you go.

A coach bags outlet shoulder bag Couture offers more space than the size of a traditional pocket. This means more space? Yup - more space for all of your personal waste.
And what all women? More space, more personal ie waste (: What draws us happy and us) and a man, where the sink is white.

Otherwise, shoulder bags are so bizarre and innovative design and the dead, but they are built for the big things.
When the first day. A big chanel bags 2010 bag means you can move with the children, the reduction of some essential elements in this country.

Moreover, if (children less) is possible on site and negotiating a delicious Couture New Coach Wallets you to hide your new product on the re-entry into his house.

Most are large enough to hide a new piece for your wardrobe. Not only nationally, but the coating is a perfect combination for some sparklies again.

The interior of the pocket of a coach is as beautiful as the outside, and the same attention to detail is always applied.

Coach Couture All portfolios are smaller versions of the pocket of pure joy.
The Country Club presents: Dave Arcari + The Medicine Bow + Deadly Brotherhood Of The Gun @ The Ruby Lounge

After having had such a pleasant evening last time I visited the Ruby Lounge’s regular ‘Country Club’ band night I decided to pop down there again, this time to see gravel-voiced Glaswegian guitar-slinger Dave Arcari, whose poster had caught my eye on my previous visit.

Local boys DEADLY BROTHERHOOD OF THE GUN opened proceedings with an impressive blast of 70s tinged noisy rock n roll. Frontman Matt Hennings strutted around the small stage like a grungey Mancunian version of Jim Morrison as the band oozed out their sleazy, psychedelic but at the same time bone shaking racket. They left me feeling groovy…. and a little dirty, and wanting more.

Next up were Manchester veterans THE MEDICINE BOW who I’m ashamed to say I’d never managed to catch live before. According to front man Stu this was the first gig in a while where all NINE members were present, a quick headcount (7) and I wrongly assumed this was a characteristic drunken error until I moved to the other side of the room and discovered 2 more lurking behind the speakers! The Medicine Bow are an eclectic bunch of happily half-cut noise makers. Their sound? Difficult to sum up in words, but as that’s what I’m supposed to do here I’d say think of a bar room brawl between Johnny Thunders and The Heartbreakers and The Pogues and you wont be far off the mark. Entertaining stuff.

I had a quick chat with DAVE ARCARI when I got to the venue, he was a humble and extremely friendly sort with many humorous stories of life on the road, recalled with much fervour. As he took the stage he became a different beast altogether with a manic grin and the staring eyes of a madman. A one man band, his music is unashamedly influenced by the great delta blues legends. This could be derivative and dull but it’s far from it, the enthusiasm and energy Dave puts out is captivating, it’s gritty and dark but not without wit, it’s intelligent and authentic but far from elitist. Dave is doing something new and exciting with a well worn genre, not an easy feat, he tells me that his shows attract a varied crowd from blues aficionados to rockabillies and punks and I can see why. Do yourself a favour and check him out next time he’s in town, you’ll leave with fire in your belly and a little bit of the devil in your soul.
.
www.myspace.com/thecountryclubmanchester Kelii C

Oxbow, Harvey Milk and Manatees @ The Ruby Lounge

Another visit to the Ruby Lounge, they’re putting on some fantastically eclectic gigs of late and it’s becoming one of my favourite places for watching underground acts. This time for a night of dark, heavy experimentalness and I notice I’m very definitely in the minority being of a female persuasion this evening, unfazed by this I get down the front to catch some mighty fine bands.

Carlisle boys MANATEES have been making a bit of noise recently with their split EP with local lads The Freezing Fog and they make a whole LOT of noise when they take to the stage this evening. Being fairly unfamiliar with this lot I wasn’t sure what to expect but their set kept me captivated from start to finish, I was really impressed with their creative use of percussion and the beautiful, harrowing and unholy noise they make, these guys really work well in a live environment and I’m looking forward to catching them again as soon as possible.

HARVEY MILK (named after the first openly gay man to be elected into public office anywhere in the world) I had heard more about and eagerly awaited their performance, as it seems did most of the other people in the venue, they may have had the biggest crowd of the night. I was not disappointed, although the most accesable of all the bands this evening, HM are anything but radio friendly with their sludgy, stoner-esque riffing and impressively hirsute frontman Creston’s unhinged vocal delivery. Mesmerising.

As the scent of joss sticks wafts through the air signalling OXBOW’s imminent arrival to the stage I am reminded not so much of dreadlocked hippies as opium dens and rituals of the dark arts. Fittingly so as front man Eugene Robinson is one of the most terrifying on-stage characters I’ve come across in a long time. Remember when ‘rock stars’ were from another planet? Unpredictable? Larger than life? This guy has it nailed. Coming across somewhere between a tormented evangelist and the championship fighter he is in another life, Eugene struts around the tiny stage shedding items of clothing and baying into the faces of the enthralled front row.

Musically Oxbow are astoundingly creative, all edgy, disjointed guitar-work, jazzy soundscapes and unexpected rhythms. They are like the soundtrack to the end of the world, tortured souls screaming in hell, all your worst nightmares set to music. They are anything but easy listening. They are unbelievably good. I leave gob smacked and tingling, by the looks of things so does everyone else.

www.myspace.com/theoxbow

In case you didn’t know Thursday night is band night at Grand Central in Manchester and it’s absolutely FREE! It’s well worth paying a visit to check out some local (or not so local) talent every now and again, I’ve caught some brilliant bands there on many occasions and always try and pop in whenever I get the chance in the hope of finding something new to rave about. Get your ass down there sometime.

I made a special effort to go and watch INFERNO this evening, hurtling through the doors just minutes before they took to the stage and I was glad I didn’t miss a second. This is exactly the kind of band you want to stumble across in your local rock pub, Inferno are super loud and in your face heavy rock n roll with more than a passing nod to Motorhead. With todays climate of homegenic screamo bands and produced-within-an-inch-of-it’s-life metal it’s so refreshing to catch a band that just switch on, turn it up and blast you with balls to the wall, no frills, eardrum shredding, groove-laden riffage. This young band from North Wales are well worth your time if you like it hard and heavy.

Up next are Icelandic pretty boys NOISE who remind me of a slightly darker version of their fellow countrymen Sign. There are some impressively dirty riffs going on here and when he’s on form their singer can really wail, unfortunately tonight he is short of the mark a few too many times for comfort, perhaps a strenuous tour schedule and too many late nights of hard drinking are taking their toll. I’d like to see Noise again before I make up my mind whether he’s just having a bad night tonight or not. Their sound is promising and refreshing in a different way to Inferno’s. They’re colourful and interesting and I’d be intrigued to hear more from them.

Last to take the stage this evening are Sheffield’s THE VENKMAN HEIST who’s sound falls somewhere between The Foo Fighters and The Stereophonics, they play feel good, catchy, bluesy alternative rock and they do it really well. It’s not the kind of thing that usually floats my boat but I enjoy watching them and appreciate that they do their thing skilfully and with plenty of energy. Despite this I can’t help thinking the bill should have been the other way round tonight.

www.myspace.com/rockcentralmanchester
