GOLD-SELLING US heavyweights Five Finger Death Punch and flamboyant Finnish rockers Reckless Love will both play at this year’s Download Festival, set to run from June 8th-10th.
This will be the third time that Five Finger Death Punch have featured at the event, having made main-stage appearances in 2009 and 2010; For Reckless Love, meanwhile, this will be outing number two, following on from their Download debut in 2010.

Exit State Announce 2012 Tour Dates And Welcome Their New Lead Guitarist
Lancashire Hard Rock band, Exit State, are starting the year off with a bang by announcing the first of their tour dates for 2012 which include 4 shows as special guests with the legendary former UFO & Scorpions lead guitarist Michael Schenker. These shows are at Wolverhampton, Manchester, Glasgow & London and are made all more special as former Scorpions drummer Herman Rarebell and early Scorpions bassist Francis Buchholz are included in Michael Schenker’s band for this tour.
The band also announced today that Matt Harris is joining them as their new permanent lead guitarist following the departure of Adam Stephenson in September 2011. UK Alt-Rock Crew TAKE THE SEVEN Set Loose Stunning Debut Record This January!
Hailing from Chesterfield, North Derbyshire, Take The Seven are quickly making new friends and gaining widespread support by extensively touring throughout the heart of England. ROUGH ANGEL Release ‘Hear The Angels Rock’ EP 18 Years After They Were First Recorded!
US Heavy Metal weights Rough Angel have announced that they will be releasing their recordings from 1993. Recorded at Paramount Recording Studios, Hollywood, CA and engineered by Csaba Zvekan himself, these recordings originally intended for promoters and industry are now available for the public.
Csaba Zvekan who remastered these recordings had to say: “It’s unbelievable how these recordings are almost two decades old and still have the power to convince the listener. The music and lyrics are still current especially these days. I got goose bumps remastering this piece of music. It definitely is a gift for all the friends and fans that are out there.“

Another Open Letter To Simon Cowell From Rhythmix
You’d be forgiven for thinking the identity saga between Rhythmix, the charity, and Simco, the company largely owned by Simon Cowell, was over! Not so. Although the all girl band competing in the reality TV show X-Factor have changed their name to “Little Mix”, the legal position has not changed as Simco are still trying to exclusively trademark the name “Rhythmix”.

Cory Smoot, Lead Guitarist Of The Heavy Metal Band GWAR Has Died.
34-year-old Cory Smoot, who played under the sci-fi fantasy name of Flattus Maximus in the cult metal band GWAR, was found dead yesterday on the group’s tour bus following a gig in Minneapolis.
His bandmates are said to be ‘shocked and devastated’ by his death. The cause of death is still unknown.
Lead singer Dave Brockie, AKA ‘Oderus Urungus,’ said in a statement: “It is with a sense of profound loss that GWAR must announce the passing of their long-time guitarist and beloved friend Cory Smoot, also known to thousands of metal fans worldwide as Flattus Maximus. Cory was found deceased this morning as the band prepared for a border crossing. Please give your thoughts and your prayers to Cory, his family, and all the people that love him.

Wasted Sinners Return With Their Debut Mini-Album & Plans For Mass Domination In 2012!
Dispatching a heady mix of infectious Rock ‘n’ Roll, influenced by the swagger of Motley Crew, the attitude of G’n’R and the contemporary cool of Buckcherry, Wasted Sinners are ready to unleash their own concoction of Rock ‘n’ Roll to the masses in 2012!
Bursting out of London town, Wasted Sinners are comprised of the vocal prowess of Roxx Hydi, Gary Dainty serving the guitar riffs, Dude Rock on bass, and Pete Sin hammering out the beats. The band were originally born in the later part of 2008 by long time friends Dude Rock and Pete Sin, who had regularly jammed together for a number of years as a sturdy rhythm section; the dynamic duo later recruited kindred sprits Roxx Hydi and Gary Dainty, and the four-piece instantly clicked, deciding to form ‘Wasted Sinners’.
