Total Biker FM Chats To Young UK Rockers SPARTAN

Spartan are four young and extremely talented musicians who formed in early 2011. Hailing from Portsmouth, they write their own music and already have an EP, “A New Age“, available on iTunes. Frontman Harvey wants to see a teen led rock revival, encouraging others to learn to play instruments and practising rather than the instant fame factory route involving a large helping of auto-tune and drum machines! Sounds like our kind of band!

Total Biker FM Chats To VALOUS Ahead Of TBFM Factor & Twitrfest 2012!

TBFM Factor registrations have been pouring in over the last 2 weeks, and with another 8 weeks left to register we expect to be inundated with bands all vying for a place in the competition. There are 150 places available in the competition and close to that number have already registered. We are aware that some bands are recording new material at the moment or are away touring, so have given a fair 10 weeks registration period so that no one misses out.

One band that has got their application in nice and early is Birmingham-based heavy rock band, Valous – who we will be seeing very soon at Twitrfest in Wakefield on 25th February 2012. We caught up with the guys recently to find out a bit more about them…

Total Biker FM Chats to Latvian-Mancunian Disco Metal Band, Stonestreet!

Ahead of our last New Music Chart Show (which is making way for the TBFM Factor Competition), we caught up with Latvian-Mancunian Disco-metallers, STONESTREET. With only 5 hours of voting left, they are sitting pretty at Number 3!

TBFM – What is your band called, and what other names have you used in the past?
STONESTREET – Our band is called Stonestreet – now and then and forever!

TBFM – How did you get your current band name?
STONESTREET – Actually, it’s quite simple –Stonestreet is an existing, real street in Riga, Latvia where we as a band formed and practiced. We didn’t want to complicate things by making up something –instead we called ourselves in the name of the place that inspired us to create music.  If you’d take a glimpse of One Dead Game video shot at Stonestreet’s place you’d know what are we talking about! Total Biker FM Chats To DIY Punk Rockers, SUBGENERATES

Based in Tauton in the South West of the UK, SUBGENERATES have been going since around 2006 and have been favourites of Total Biker FM since we first grabbed their CD in 2010. Eagerly awaiting the release of their debut album, we thought it was about time we caught up with Glenn, Rik, Robin & George to see how things are progressing!

TBFM – So guys, introduce yourselves and the band to the listeners and readers of Total Biker FM…

SUBGENERATES – We have Rik O’Mortis on guitar, Count Del Monte of Bassfordshire (Glenneth Paltrow to his friends) on bass guitar, George Crooney on the other guitar, and Robin B’Stard on Drums. We’re called SUBGENERATES, not ‘The Subgenerates’ or ‘Sub Generators’ or ‘Sub Genitals’. All of which have been used at some point.

Total Biker FM Chats to Melodic Death Thrash Metal Band, Diementia!

Scottish heavy metal band, Diementia, have been writing and performing since February 2008. They recorded their first Demo Project “Tears Of Blood” later that year and are currently working on new material for their debut album. Their mid-week position in our New Music Chart was #2 this week so will be looking for a few more votes to try to get them to the top spot on sunday. Tune in to hear the top 10 every Sunday between 5pm and 7pm UK time.

We thought it was about time we found out more about this melodic death thrash metal band known as  Diementia!

Diementia – Dementia seems to be a real problem in society these days so we added an I to spell Diementia (death from Dementia)

Total Biker FM stops by Martins Room to check it out!

Martins Room have been in the top 5 of our new music chart every week since joining, narrowly missing out on the top spot in their first week! They are currently sitting at number 7 in the charts with just over 24 hours to go until the next chart countdown (starts Sunday 5pm UST[DST]).

We caught up with the guys to find out a bit more about them, and to see if we could find out who ‘Martin’ is…

TBFM – So how did you get your current band name, Martins Room?

15 Times Dead have been hovering in the top 10 of our New Music chart for the last 3 weeks (as well as in the community chat room everyday!), and are as yet to break into the top 3.  This week they are hoping to move up the charts with the help of the listeners voting for them! Total Biker FM chats to West Cumbria’s Metal Merchants, HUNDERNEATH

HunderneatH are a rocking metal band from north of England. They have been in the top 10 of our New Music Chart every week since it started! Ok, so thats only 2 weeks, but still an impressive show of support from their fans and listeners of the station.  The guys are playing at Valentine Rock festival this weekend (16/17 Sept) in aid of RNLI and West Cumberland Lions – if you’re in the area, go check them out! Burn The Void are certainly proving popular with the listeners of Total Biker FM.  They narrowly missed out on the number 1 slot on the New Music Chart last week, being just 9 votes short of the top spot, but convincingly took the number 1 slot this week claiming 19% of the 2,500 votes cast.  We thought it was about time we got to know more about this band from Cirencester in the UK… Read more…
